580C hydraulic cylinder question

I was out fixing a plugged tile with my 580C backhoe the other day and I blew out a seal on one of the stablizer cylinders, I am wondering how the end of the cylinder is removed, it looks like it might screw in, as it has two holes for what appear to be some sort of wrench, I haven't found anything in the service manual on this. Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have the complete OEM Case 580C Service Manual? Both the 580 and 580B manuals I have contain information on cylinder repair in the hydraulics sections, strange they would delete from the C's manual.

I have attached a link to the parts page for the 2 piece piston stabilizer cylinder from the parts book (click the next button to go to the 1 piece piston cylinder). Both install the cylinder gland the same way. It threads in to the barrel. The holes in the end you see are for the pins of a gland wrench used to turn the gland in and out. Before trying to turn the gland, find and remove the machine screw (Item Key # 13 in this drawing) that locks the gland from turning. It is thread into the seam where the gland mates to the end of the barrel.

Thanks for the reply, I will look at the book agin, I probably overlooked the proper section, the picture you provided is very helpful.
Thanks Mike
