Did you ever mess with the Case 4 cylinder air cooled engines that Case made? My brother-in-law & I knew where there was one & talked about putting it in the V that we had, but figured it would be too much trouble. Then we found a guy that would trade even over for an SC & we needed some SC engine parts. The SC ended up being better than the other one we had, so the original we had became the parts tractor. (Funny how that works out sometimes!) Later, we thought about chasing the air cooled to put in the parts SC, but brother-in-law became ill & passed before we got to it.

It's been 15(?) years since I knew where it was so will have to follow up if you want me to. It was in central SD and may be still there. I will check through my friend (a John Deere guy) for the owner's name, as he knows the owner well. I don't personally know if he's still in the area & don't remember his name.

Never worked on a A125 myself. When I worked for Case dealer in mid 70's parts were expensive or unavailable. The axial fan & shroud were the weak spot. Most were run until they ate themselves, and the old guys still running old Case balers that they were used on junked them. Most got replaced by Wisconsin V4's that were sitting around the farm when old swathers and balers got scrapped. Wisconsin air cooled V4's were pl entirely and cheap back then.

Someone posted a photo on the Case forum a few years back of a A125 in a VA chassis. Since the A125 is based on the VA block, I think it bolted right up. With a V tractor using the Continental F124 flathead and having engine rails, don't think it would be as easy.

We had never seen one, but knew they were around. A friend who is a JD guy knew this guy who had one in a shed. He had see it. (It was surrounded by JD parts.) The owner had gotten it with some of the parts around it & knew nothing about it either. The JD friend knew we had Cases & gave my Brother-In-Law his name. BIL had called the guy that had it & he wanted to get rid of it. See below, we never really got around to follow up.

I do have an air-cooled Case 4cyl. Picked it up at an estate auction last year. Trying to find some time to learn more about them and hopefully get it fired up on the engine cart that came with it. I need to find a manual for it.
