52nd year planting corn is done. Also a picture of my JI Case TC-68 planter that was my first 30" planter in about 79. Had a wide row Case 434 before it and a 400 Cyclo for about 20 years. This 800 CIH cyclo planter is a big upgrade from the 400.

Still waiting for a dry spell here in west central Ohio. Haven't seen a corn planter in my area. Rain every other day.

That's the way it was last year here in E SD. About normal this year...even on the dry side. Could use an inch of rain once the beans are in. Haven't had only a few tenths all spring for rain.

Corn is up and most beans planted in Central Iowa. Getting very dry. Dust and dirt blows across the fields when they were being worked.

Very wet here, no corn planted anywhere. The best planter is sitting in the grass. To this day, there isn't another planter that has as good a seed to moist coil contact as the K160 unit. Seed is always in the very bottom of the "V" trench, not covered w/ dry dirt.

And we didn't our usual April snow storm in out part of SE SD, either! We have a lot of sub-soil moisture in our part of the world, though. Sloughs are all full but beginning to go down.

I've got a few acres left. Got over an inch of rain that slowed things some. Looks good this week tho. That 8 row case is really something and would be fun to have.
