I?m re ding the brakes on my 530 and I need to replace the seals. I assume I need to remove the inter late that?s held on with one philips head screw in order to replace the seal ?

Dick,

No you don't have to. You simply use 3 self-tapping screws drilled into the old seal and use the heads to pry it out. Be careful when replacing the new seal to protect the rubber lip from being torn on the splines or turning under on the lip of the shaft. Good advice from John Saeli. Don

Glad to hear about the trick way to get the seal out. I tried taking the plates off last year when I did my 530. The phillips screws would not loosen even with a phillips socket and some muscle. I cleaned everything up, said a prayer and put it back together......OK so far.
