mystery case

It followed me home. A smaller CASE 210 maybe 410 no ID tag. Non-adjustable front and rear axle, dry clutch, 12 speed, gas. Engine looks smaller than a 159. Any other identifying numbers I can look for? Interesting hood sheet metal "crimps" around the dash. Have not seen that before. I'm for sure going to need grill screens, which someone fabricated out of perforated sheet metal.

The screens are pretty crudely made Barry, like sides from a metal waste basket or something. Better than nothing I suppose. Anyone on this forum know of a source for original or after market replacements?

What you are describing is a 210b. It will also have the clam shell fenders whereas all of the other models have the bigger fenders that turn down and attach to the floorboards. The engine is a 126 which is unique to the 200b series. If the radiator cap is under a cover it will be a 1958 model, if it comes up through the nose cap it is a 1959. Also the 58 had the 3 small spoke steering wheel with a keyed shaft and the 59 has 2 small spokes with the third being a wide flat spoke and is on a splined shaft. Lee

It is the steering wheel with two small and one wide flat spoke. I'll have to check the other items you mention. Thanks. Good information.

I am no good at posting pictures but the picture I am referring to is in the winter 1996 edition of Old Abe news Vol XII no 1 page 41.
