Attn Jon Saeli

Hi John, my name is Gene and I'm looking for connecting rod bearings for my 1949 Case SC, as I'm in the (long) process of overhauling the engine. The ones you have listed on your company site, 05709 A8930, are standard. The ones I have removed from my tractor have 07809AB D.A.B. 2-65 stamped on them. Are these numbers virtually the same, just different part numbers? The current bearings seem to be in decent shape yet but I'm not sure if they're too thick and hindering my tractor from cranking over easily. Do the numbers I gave give any indication of their size or would I need to measure them? Any information you can provide would be helpful and much appreciated.

Your O7809AB bearings are .002" "undersize". The only way to tell if they are too tight is to Plasti-gauge them. If they have been in there running since 1965, I don't see how they can be too tight. "Standard" rod bearings are the only bearings still readily available.

Thanks so much John. Do you by chance also have piston pin bushings? I need a set of those as well, mine are worn and a couple are spun so the oil holes aren't aligned.
