On my 541 draft-o-matic it has the standard 4 speed transmission with the foot clutch then a high and low shifter on the right side. It stays in high fine but when in low it falls out anytime even just a little load is put on it. I pulled the shifter cover off for the dual range but don't see anything broke or out of place I do have a shop manual for it. Any suggestions?

I repaired a Ford tractor that was doing the same thing. The problem was a bearing out in the
transmission. It was letting one end of the shaft drop and it would jump out of high as soon as
you put any load on it. The man ran it this way for almost 2 years using a ridged up dog chain to
hold it in gear. Caused a lot of damage and extra $ because he did not fix it when it first
happened. It could also be the ball and spring on the shiftier rail broke or missing.
