Long shot on finding my Dad's Case DC

March 3 1990 my dad had an auction, south of Dover MN in Elmira Township. On that auction he sold a Case DC. I don't know the year or have the serial # to try and track it down. I believe it was a late '50's model with an Eagle hitch, the brakes were on the right side with the hand clutch on the left. I'm not exactly sure but I thought the person who bought it was from Byron MN. This tractor has immense sentimental value as it was one of the first tractors I learned to drive. So if anyone may have a clue or any information as to finding this needle in a haystack I would be very appreciative just to know if the tractor is still living. I know it's a long shot but it has been on my mind a lot as of late as I work on getting my SC running.

Sure hope you locate it!

My Dad?s DC was scrapped in the late 60?s too bad we couldn?t find the Super M he had also!

Good Luck

Where are you? Are you familiar with the Northland Case Collectors group, Mn, Western Wi, Eastern SD and ND and northern Ia? I'm sure we've members in the Rochester area, that might have a handle on it. "We" tend to pay attention when Old Cases are at auction, going way back.......... Larry
my email is open if I can send you any info

I'm still in the Dover area, SE MN. I don't have anymore detailed info other than what I originally posted. My dad had passed away afew years ago so I can't ask him any specific questions. I know that he was always a Case guy, which is probably Where I get my fascination with Case tractors.

Keep looking, It took me 40 years to find my late uncles 1945 Fordson N. Lost track of it in southen England 45 years ago then it turned up in a farm sale in northern England 5 years ago and I got it bought. MJ

Did the auction company give your dad a copy of the sales list, with what sold for how much and who bought it? Your dad may have hung on to it. My parents still had theirs for the auction they had in 1964. There might be an outside chance that the auction company may have kept records that far back.

I asked my mom if she had that info and she doesn't think so. All we have is the auction bill but it doesn't have the serial numbers for the tractors on it. I'm not even sure if the auctioneer has that info anymore either. All I could do now is get in contact with him to see if he might have the sales list from then.
