I am new to this forum and surely will have more questions as I work through my tractor. I purchased a 1964 Case 831C. It is a Case-O-Matic tractor, S/N 8235988. The drawbar, I believe, is Case P/N A20931. Is there a hammer strap that will work on that drawbar? If so where can I find one?

Welcome to the Case forum. A hamerstrap should be no problem to fabricate. As mentioned an after market cab on an EH tractor is a rare bird. Most after market cabs at that time were pretty ugly, but that one has some style to it, not just a box bolted to the axles. The cab looks like it perhaps has provisions for fenders to be bolted on it like the Allen factory cabs had. What brand is that cab????
I also have a 831C high tin Eagle Hitch tractor. I removed the well worn wide front and installed the narrow front. It is a much more maneuverable tractor with the NF. Mine was a really ugly critter when I bought it. I did a lot of fabrication work on it to suit my likings and needs.

We had a really nice day back the first of last week so I thought I would see if it would start. It hadn't been run since last Oct. It fired rite up so we went for a ride to limber it up.

The cab didn't come with the tractor but was added later.

The hammer strap on the end of your drawbar is what I am looking for. Is there a part number or some identification on it?

Here is a pic of what it should look like. The bar can be turned either up or down.

There should be a roller that rolls on top of the angle with the holes in it. Also looks like your drawbar has been shortened some. I can take a pic of my 400 drawbar tomorrow if you like.
