211b vs 311b

The reason I asked is the 311b sold yesterday had the dash as pictured on the 211b in Tractor data (individual guages). The parts catalog seems to indicate the 311b had the cluster like the original 300. Like a dope I didn't look for a serial plate. I thought the tractor looked smaller than the 300 I looked at some time ago but old man memories are not reliable.

So the tractor sold was mis-identified. Was it lighter built than the 311 or the same except for the engine?

engine bore, dash, fenders several EH parts,, hood and air cleaner are a few I can say off the top of my head, the 200 was built to have a model for model lineup with deere, they sold very well but there was no need for two units within 4hp of each other so production was dropped, the 430 was a direct replacement for the 200 and 300 and used the same basic hood, dash and fenders as the 200 (same as VA series fenders also)

Nutty, Thanks for the clarification. I am beginning to think the tractor I looked at 3 years ago in KS but did not buy was a 351 instead of a 300. It sure was bigger than the 211b as I remember it. I had never seen (or knew of) a 351 at that time and it was advertised as a 300. Now I own a 351. The one I bought is in so much better shape than the one I did not buy so no regret there.

I kinda thought a 200 was a cheaper to produce tractor because of the 10 24 tires on the 210b and the 6 volt electrical system. Maybe they were using surplus VAC parts. I do not know what size tires were sold on a 211b.

I thought it was odd, this tractor had a 6v battery, but it turned over slow so I thought maybe they put the wrong one in.

all 200 Series were indeed 6 volt,, sure it saved a couple bucks,, std rear tire on a 211B was 11.2 x 28,, a 210B has 24" rears,, only parts a VA Series had in common with a 200 was the fenders

My 210-bh has a 6 bolt flange type axle hub. I do not know it that is 210-b only or from an earlier model of something.
