830 diesel dual range with eagle hitch

A few years ago my brother was running it and when shifting the high low shifter on the left somehow broke the shift fork so we put a used one in it and ever since it wont go into high range. Anyone got a idea what we have to do to correct it.?
Thanks loren

That fork just clamps to the shaft and must be adjusted properly with the shifter fork in neutral and the fork positioned so the collar is centered in the middle between the high and low gears. If that was not done properly it will not work. If it was working ok before the fork broke and not immediately afterward I doubt that the gears have seized but it happens as the other poster said. Never allow that transmission to run low in oil, I have had tophysically cut the range gears out with a acetylene torch, they weld themselves together when the shaft gaulds to the gear.
