Hello I have a small collection of Case tractors that I thought I would show and also look for some information on them. My first case that I got from my grandfather when he sold his farm some years back is a 1951 Case DC running on LP. It had a stuck valve when I got it so the head has been rebuilt, it runs great. My understanding is 1951 was the first year that Case put LP on from the factory. Does anyone know how many were made or if Case ever kept track of such a thing?
My most recent purchase I just picked up is a 1950 Case Model D. I don't know much of the history about it except It looks like the head may have been off. It also runs really good and I am looking forward to restoring.
My rarest case is a early 1941 Case SC center stack. My Grandfather bought it many years but never got around to fixing it. It was sold on his farm sale. A couple of years ago I got in touch with the gentleman who purchased it and he generously sold it back to me. It is a very complete tractor and I am in the process of a full restoration. It still has the smooth block and it was broke and welded at some point in its life. Is there any knowledge of how many center stack SCs with a smooth block are still around? Thanks
