Got the 41 SC going

Some before and after pictures of my 41 SC. I?ve done several other tractors over the past few years and had this one in the shed. Slowly over 7-8 years and piece by piece got it done. Bought it for $150. Had two bent rods got them and gaskets from DonL Found fenders a couple years ago. Have mags that need a good cleaning but threw on a distributor just to get it going. I don?t know why but I like working on SC?s and DC?s.
Eventually I?ll paint it but for now I?ll try to get it running smooth and oil leaks stopped. I figure it hasn?t run for 20 years before I got it. I think someone on here says that if it casts a shadow it can be restored n

No. That one is moving into the vacated spot in the shed. This one is regular 41. The one from Chelsea is center exhaust that I will keep as original as possible. It has better tinwork and braided wiring. I might swap these single rib front tires to put on the center exhaust.

Getting hard to find parts for early SC?s and DC?s. Bigger fenders and chrome strip hoods aren?t around anymore.

Need to get together Pastor John. I missed you when Chuck came to town.

Nedd,

Do we have your two '41 SC's on my registry? I just need name, serial number, and location. You already mentioned one is center exhaust. I also document whether it is short or long-sided hood, ribbed or smooth block, or any other unique features they have (cultivators, etc.).

Great job saving another early SC! I do know a gent here in MN that has a little bit of a stockpile of early Case parts (and early SC). I have him looking for a good set of chrome trim for me for my '41 center exhaust.

She sure looks nice in her work clothes!

It goes look great on its work clothes.
Maybe they look more comfortable that way?

Ken, are you doing registry of all SC or just early or???

I'm only keeping track of the 1941. Goal is to see how many center exhaust tractors remain. I know that from my research with Case archives that 2388 SC's were built before the serial cutoff at number 4503029. Unsure on the number of S center exhausts that were produced but I am confident it is far less.
