case 350 351 serial nos

Does anyone know how Case used serial numbers in 1957? Conventional wisdom says there were 905 351s and 199 350s made. WIth only a small sampling of 6 351 and 3 350s
on yesterdays tractors the range is 6080153 to 6081974 for 350s only and 6080749 to 6081702. So the 351s only has a spread of 953 (more than the number made). If they
were mixed with 350s the range of 1821 which is greater than combined production of both tractors and the 350s hold both the high and low numbers in the combo. Just
curious.

I am not sure how Case allocated their serial numbers in the mid 50's, but in the 30's and 40's the numbers were stamped on as the tractors came off the assembly line. If 3 DC's came off the line followed by 2 SC's and 4 LA's that is how the numbers were stamped on. I question the low production numbers of the 350, and 351's. I have been to many tractor shows in SD, MN, IA, and surrounding states and have seen as many as 6 at one show. I cannot remember being at a show where there were none. There are some tractors that 10's of thousands were made and they are harder to find.
 
I wrote to Case IH for info on my tractor and the nice lady sent my build card and she also agrees with the number of 905 made. I know before the two plants had seperate serials for the tractors made at that plant, but all the 351/350 were made at one plant I think. So either they shared numbers with another model, or they had numbers not used. I know there are more tractors out there. I would like to put a list together of all the numbers. Set up a facebook page for it. Getting a few tractors but folks mostley no sharing numbes.
 
I owned 1 for about week never looked for serial no.it was a 1 owner .sold it to a guy who knew the orignal owners family growing up .
