Case 660 combine.... How should I move it?

I found a 660 for sale about 120 miles from me for only $350. Of course, it is a "ran when parked" 25 years ago, but it looks to be in great shape. My biggest question is how hard is it take the 13 foot head off of it? Also, what would be the best way to haul it? I have access to a 25 foot gooseneck, but if the specs I found are correct it would be too tall since it has a cab and grain bin extensions. Thanks in advance

You will have to remove the Grain Bin Extensions and let the air out of the tires or remove the wheels and tires off of the machine.

The Grain head should remove OK if it is on the ground but will be a little tricky getting all of the pins out, just be careful. Then make sure that you have something there to load the grain head carefully.

Do you have some super low power lines or overpasses to go under? Reason I ask is because I have a 600 which is the same combine and I never had to take the cab off to go anywhere. I know it cleared a 14' 1/2" overpass and I hauled it on a 24ft gooseneck trailer. Any chance you can take back roads? I didn't remove the header on mine but it was only 10ft. I did haul a JD 55 with a 14ft header once 30 miles. Didn't have any issues either.

We brought our 660 home, perhaps 40 years ago. It has 13ft grain head and 3 row narrow corn head. Maybe we should talk !!! I've thought about selling it, but would like to sell it as a package. We used it 4-5 years ago for corn. As we don't have a corn head for our 2166 rotary Case IH. Where are you, we are in SE Michigan. Email me if you want to talk.
