2590 into 2294

Please bare with me as I have a ? considering replacing a engine in a 2294 that got hot last fall when on a grain vac the block heater plug came loose and lost all its coolant engine got so hot it actually seized up , let it cool down and put antifreeze back in and it started back up and actually sounds OK , I am still thinking it needs work as it seemed to act like it had low compression , and was hard starting before.anyway I have a block with a good crank laying here from a 2590 that I know are good , maybe putting in new sleeves and pistons and bearings , would a person use the 2590 injector pump that was good 4 years ago or use the one off the 2294 I assume if using the 2294 pump I would also need to use the injectors from that engine too or could I use the 2590 pump and the injectors from 2294? I really think the injectors may be better out of the 2294 ? Also. Would it be possible to use the oil pump from the 2294 or because of bigger crank I assume I need to use the 2590 pump ? Thank you , I rarely post on here but read all the time , I can't believe some of the knowledge on theis forum

I bet your crank and block from the 2294 are ok if heat was
the issue. Bet a piston got tight are scored badly locking it up
until things cooled down and loosened. You should check it
out before going the crank and block route, much simpler. You
can make the 25 stuff work but unless you want to build a
higher hp engine you have little to gain if it is only a piston
problem and you were going to replace them anyway. Rod.
