Case Dealer List Link

Don Thanks for your hard work. Wogoman in West Alexandria Oh. sold out in the late 60 s. The new owner call it Twin Valley Equipment. They sold out 3 or 4 years ago. Hate to see the family run dealerships sell out. Can t tell ya who the new owner is. I do know it s a big outfit. RB

Thank you for the additional information. It's very sad to see all these small businesses go away. My own local dealership is probably going to shut down in the next few years as the partners are 64 and 62 and no plans to continue forward. Don

Oh my goodness. What an amazing list. Thankyou for your hard work and devotion.
Also thankyou for the opportunity to ask my dad the perplexing question of what case dealerships he remembered doing business with.
Dad said he had not thought of some of the places in many decades but he did remember another in Cornelius oregon but is calling around to find correct name and years in business. He figured it was in the 70s cause they rebuilt uncles 930 non comfort king.
Also the Cornelius dealership owner had sons who farmed on the east side of the state but they bought a new case combine, dad thought 60 series, and drove for 3 days to get it across the state.

Also the place in Oregon city is Fischer mill supply, without apposterfy s.
Same family run store since 1889. Still grind and mix feed. Still sell gas and diesel. Still sell parts and service. Still have case car and steam engine in a shed
I think dad said they were case dealer from 40 til 80s then switched to MF which they still carry.

Wow, a nice list of history, just a couple of minor corrections, the dealer in LaMoure North Dakota, was Irl Good, and like u got it down he was the Case,Pontiac, and GMC dealer. And Litchville North Dakota, It was owned By Hank Opdahl, and his son Harlan, they also had the Chevrolet Line! Nice work! I knew all of them!

I was the last shop foreman Herb had before he closed the shop for health reasons. He was a great guy to work for and treated everyone like family.

Been wondering where all this was being compiled, thanks for posting this. I never knew that "Allen Farm Equipment" was Case, nor that there was a Case dealer at one time in Stephentown NY, where my grandparents farm was, and was also a place that I lived for a couple of years. There's a sign there that says "Welcome to the only Stephentown on Earth"

At one time there was a Case dealer every 7-15 miles in what was considered good farming country. In other words, you can almost always find an old Case dealer in every other town, if not every town, depending upon how far apart they are. There are quite a few that only lasted a few years, but they had dreams of being successful, just like we all still do. Many were part-time and fell by the wayside quickly. Those are the ones that are very hard to find now. Don

RB,do you still live in preble co.? Is the WA in your ID,for West Alex? I had assumed be it meant Washington
Clint

Thanks for the kind words and corrections. I have relied upon the memories of many people, sometimes quite elderly, who are trying to remember 60 or 70 years ago. Sometimes the spelling or even the name isn't quite right, but 99 times out of a hundred if someone says they remember a Case dealer being there they are later proven right. Now, in many cases, I'm talking to grandchildren of owners and employees who may or may not have any idea that their relative once worked at a Case dealership. Don

Thank you for the additional information. I've added Cornelius to the list, I'll await further information from your Dad. How fortunate you are to have a longtime family business still active in the farming community like Fischer Mill Supply. Don

Clint We now live in Wash state since Oct. of 09. Have 2 daughters. Both live out here. Granny wanted to be where the grankids are.
Joel unger and I are the same age. RB

Thank you very much for posting this piece of family history. I can make out 2-14 plow and I think 7 ft Detroit mower but can't read what else they got for $2,000 back then. Don

Don, I?m one of those old gezzers that is trying to remember the name of the last case dealer in ft Smith Ark. he came after the ft Smith tractor co. He won several trips for selling the most crab steer 4 wheel drives. Our area is not known for big tractors but in the early 80?s when everybody else?s was kinda saturated with 4 wheel drives they started catching on here up and down the Arkansas river vally and he was really puttin? um out. He went broke in the 80?s farm crises. I?ll send it to you if I can get the old brain cells fired up.

I have a location for one not on your list but I can not remember the name. There was a Case dealership in Boonsboro MD in the late 50 to early 60's. It was located in the old school house at the edge of town along route 34.Dad mentioned it to me many times as we drove past. Tom

That is really something, did not know that. There was not a heck of a lot of case in this area that I can recall, neighboring farmer and friend had a 311 round nose, my first introduction to J.I. Case.

Hi Don,
Wanted to check the dealer list for SE WI. Couldn?t scroll down to WI. What am I doing wrong? Any tips? 🤔
Thanks,
Jerry

The handwriting is really hard to make out, believe me I understand LOL

I think it's, Case VAC, cultivators, 2x14 plow, and the Detroit mower you mentioned. I couldn't make out the mower part til you said it!

The tractor caused some debate for a few years, I said it was a '49, which it is by number, my grandma swore '48. After a while she found this. We were both right!

Brandon

Hello Jerry,

I just went to the link and it took a little while, but WI came up in its entirety. Sorry, I don't have any computer tips. For those I need to ask my 8 year old granddaughter. LOL Don
