Hello all,
I get on this forum pretty regularly and read posts but have only ever posted one other time. I appreciate all the help you guys have unknowingly provided in the past. I have done some searching but can?t find a problem quite like mine. If I overlooked it I apologize and will gladly be redirected to the appropriate post.
I?ve got a 1962 Case 310c that has sat for several years. Long story short, I rebuilt the carb and had no luck getting it to start (even with a little starting fluid every now and again). Checked the spark from distributor to plugs and it was fairly bright and easy to see but orange in color. Replaced the coil and checked spark using the coil wire. It will jump about 1/4? to ground and is bright blue. Still weak spark between distributor and plugs. Replaced points, condenser, distributor cap, rotor button, plug wires, and plugs. After all that I still have the same issue (Weak spark between distributor and plugs).
What?s next? I?m not ASE mechanic but I?ve never had this much trouble getting a gas burner running. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
