Case 530 throttle

Hello, I am having some throttle problems on my late 1960?s case 530. I think I am maybe missing a ?return spring? (#43 on parts diagram)? Does anybody have a picture of their case 530 throttle setup? Mine works fine if I pull throttle rod (#50) the engine will rev but Using lever (#1) or pedal (#27) the engine does not rev up so I am trying to find the problem. Thank you.

Check all the roll plns on the cross shaft under the tank, A long shot, I have seen one or two times the lever under the tank that the rod comes to from the throttle lever will go over center and be pointing down instead of up, that would not allow it to engage the roll pin, that lever is loose on the shaft because it must slip to allow the foot throttle to work independent of the hand throttle, at least it will give you something to look for, you could have someone work the throttle so you can see what's not catching under the tank, there should be a roll pin for that lever to catch so it turns the shaft.

Here s a pic of my throttle spring. Whether all is working properly I don t know. Haven t had much time to work on her since purchased.

Throttle spring item #43 original p/n O1294FS sub to p/n B18277. Quick search, that p/n available on Amazon, $31 w/shipping. Very spendy for a spring, probably find original or aftermarket spring cheaper. Try John Saeli (315) five eight five-9826.

Just curious with the wires in the photo, did you wire this yourself? If so did you find a brown wire with a resister?
