CASE S PTO SHAFT

I have a Case S with a twisted pto shaft on the outside. I want to replace the shaft from another S.. Can the shaft be pulled out
and replaced without splitting or ???.

I?m positive it is just a short stub shaft and should be able to be replaced without splitting the tractor, although
I have never replaced one. I had a couple of SC?s and I?m sure that is how they were built.

Will probably have to remove the fuel tank and the cover on top of the transmission...includes the steering gear and steer wheel. The front gear won't stay in place to remove and replace shaft.

You're right. What's pictured above is the non live power tractor, pre 1951. Later does use the "stub shaft". There's the pto clutch assembly in there. Larry

Sorry I should have been clearer. This is a non live PTO. I guess a bigger job than I thought. Thanks for replies..
