SC No Spark

So I drug an SC home a month or so go finally getting around to making it run.. The motor was locked up, but I got it turning and cranking.. anyway I can't get any spark at
the plugs. At some point the Mag was replaced with a Delco 1111411 dist/coil. I've replaced, plugs ,wires, points condenser (gapped at .20) and coil (Internal resisted).
When I got it home the Magneto kill switch was gone, I've replaced that.. When I follow my wire from the +side of the coil it goes to the kill switch, from the other side of
the kill switch that wire goes to the AMP meter from the other side of the AMP meter it runs out to the Generator/Voltage Regulator.. So I'm wondering am I missing a wire
somewhere? Where does the coil get 12 volts. Earlier my voltmeter was showing like 6-7volts but when I crank it it shows zero, and is showing zero right now even when
not cranking. Any thoughts?

One terminal on the Ammeter should be connected to the battery at the starter switch or solenoid, the output of the charging system and ALL electrical loads, including the lead to the ignition switch will be connected to the other side of the Ammeter.

BOTH sides of the Ammeter will have battery voltage (with respect to the chassis) present at all times, power from there goes to the ignition switch, when the ignition switch is "ON", battery voltage needs to be present at the coil.

On the distributor side primary terminal on the coil, with breaker points "OPEN" there should be battery voltage, with breaker points "CLOSED", near ZERO voltage

ok I think I get what you are saying..... so this SC doesn't really have a starter solenoid, just a on/off pull switch and a push button to start.. so you're thinking I am missing a wire from the + side of the push button, that comes directly from the battery (2 gauge wire I think).... to one of the terminals to the ammeter? That would not need to be a 2-gauge correct? Thanks

Yes, you need a wire from the terminal that the battery cable connects to up to the Ammeter.

10 GA is typical.

well that problem is solved, thanks.. I found the wire tucked back up in there and just had to re-attach it.. Now remember I said the motor was locked up when I got it.. still didn't sound, or feel, like it was making much compression, even after I had spark.. So I pulled the cyl head off, 1 valve on each cylinder was frozen.. so Im soaking and waiting...

You might get lucky with the stuck rings, then again maybe not. I unstuck an SC, put a rebuilt head on it and got it going but it ran like crap for ten minutes or so, then it straightened out and ran smooth. Ran it for an hour with a brush hog mower and it never faltered.
