Changes,, for me anyway

I have thought about this for many years now about my posting here, I have made a decision I will no longer be posting info to help here,, no scans,, no pics from service manuals, parts, lit or ops,, I will also not be adding any helpful info I sometimes have done in the past,, I will still post a pic or two at times from my farm here just because there are a handful of folks here who do not see my posts on another page. I am sick and tired of dealing with the way things are here at times,, I know I have said this before but it will stick this time,, the ones here who contact me via e-mail of course I will gladly help in away way I can,, YT helped me through some rough times, as did a handful of folks who are regulars here and I will never forget that,, a long time friend here was just speaking about how things have went south here, I have been looking over posts here on a number of pages since then,, he was spot on right,, and I Thank him for opening my eyes to that fact,, and Don I will still post any dealers and info I find for your work,, as it is very important to me what you are putting your time and effort into on that project. The hour or so every day I spend here will be far better used somewhere else,

To me it seems most internet forums go south eventually. Too many people with a negative bend and have nothing better to do with their time than to cause problems.
Jim

I've noticed the same thing myself. I don't spend as much time on here as I used to. Your posts and several others I always enjoy seeing to see things from other parts of the country.

Nutty I'm so sorry to see you go. I don't post often but I read posts every day. I have always thought you were such a positive contributor to the board. I understand there are some people that abuse the board & the people on it. One thing that really makes me mad are people that ask for help & then argue that the person giving help is wrong OR someone who asks for help & can't even say THANKS. I just can't understand people sometimes. I truly hope that someday our paths cross & if I every get out your way I'll stop in & say HI. Gerald

Sorry to hear about your decision Tom. I can't imagine the hours you put in to help keep the CASE legacy alive. I want you to know how grateful I am for all the info you have provided to the dealer project. And, I always enjoy your pictures. Don

Really hate to hear that.
The way I handle it is I just don't read stuff written by people that I know are jerks.
Makes life easier.
Richard

As a Case newbee I will miss your helpful posts. I guess i don't read all the posts, but responses to mine have been respectful. I find folks on this site mostly helpful. I think it is much more civil than some of the other tractor sites I have visited.

Sorry to hear that, always enjoyed your post and info you have provided over the years. It's too bad it takes only a few to ruin a good thing like the pics and knowledge you have provided over the years. I've been on YTAG along time, and seen a lot good posters get fed up and leave from the negativity or abrasiveness of other posters. I don't post very much, but read and enjoy certain sections every day. Sorry to see you go, thanks for all the good info.
Chuck

Tom,So sorry to hear you won't be posting as much.I don't do face book so have always enjoyed your posts on this form. That's why I had sent you the three albums so you could help more people with case history. As my wife as stated, You just can't please everybody
Wis to thank you for all the help you have given me.Bill Schroeder

Sorry to hear that you are going to quit posting here. You have helped a lot of people with correct information and you have always been respectful. I don't do much on the computer, just here, a Mopar site and a local paper so I don't see your Facebook posts. My email is open, I hope you will send me your email address.

Bingo...and we all know the gentleman in question with the 1170 question has brought trouble to this forum before. Some you don't offer advice to if they refuse to seek the operators manuals as has been suggested before....plus run down a piece of equipment that they have very little information about.

Thanks for your contributions. I appreciate the support and professionalism you have provided to this site. I observed several years before I joined but for the reasons you have outlined is why I rarely post replies on this forum. I am a past main line dealer and a fairly large operator but I refuse to get in conversations with people who won't listen or think the have all the answers and want to troll.

I completely agree with gmccool. I am going to miss all the information I get from this page. We can not control what others do, just ourselves. Come back soon.

Really sorry to hear that, as you have been a big help at times and I have always enjoyed pictures of your farm.

Life will go on here without you, on Facebook you can kick em off if someone does something you dont like, Big me little you, What a ego

Thanks for all of your help over the years. I always enjoy reading your posts and will miss them. Bill

I do not spend much time on the Case section but I always read and enjoyed your posts in the combine section. You ,Jon f mn and some others have made me want to own a 930-1030 Case someday. Sorry to see you leave as there are just fewer and fewer places to find the info and experience people like you have. I always liked the pics you posted of your farming operation and how even outside your equipment still stays nice compared to us here in the midwest. Thanks for your contributions. Tom

Apparently I missed what happened. Sad to see you disappear.

Hopefully time will heal the bad feelings (which may be valid) and you'll wander back to find new names and faces that will appreciate the help.

Whatever happened probably was worse due to being winter and as much as we all like to be cranky about the work that needs to be done in the field, it's good as it makes us all more tolerant.

Tom, sorry to see you go. I've slowed way down on my answering to posts that I could help people with also. Gets real upsetting when they won't take your advice. Then when it works in their favor, they don't come back and let us know if they solved the problem and say Thank You. Will be taking a trip out your way shortly and if I have time would like to stop in and meet you. My e-mail is open. Thanks for all the wisdom you have imparted on this forum.

CN , I do understand your frustration at times, people putting posts up that prove they have no knowledge of the subject matter, making simple issues way more complicated than they need be.
You will be missed, there are several on this forum who have proven their knowledge over the years and you are one of them, please reconsider, you will be missed if you do not. I may need you at some point in time and would not mind having your contact info, Thanks, Mel

SO,SO, sorry to see you go away. I truly enjoy your posts and pics. I sit back and read and watch and learn SO SO much from folks like you and all the other die hard Case folks. I was raised RED Dad worked at the IH shop and Grandpa farmed all red so when I inheirated 2 Case DC's I stood in the back yard and said AWWWWWWWW crap I know nothing about these tractors. So, I followed along here on yt and learned A TON of stuff. And I think I always thanked everyone when I asked questions but if didnt THANK YOU!!!!!! Kenny

I have been following the yt site for twenty years. It always gets like this in the mid winter. Some of the old timers have quit it completely. Others have just limited their posts to one particular forum or even to one or two posts per week. I will miss seeing your input Case Nutty.

Yes, I remember times when you did a favor or found some information, posted pictures to help them, and guess what, no reply, no thanks, my coming here probably didn't make any difference to anyone else, then some good old friends that will always be there. I guess I had already moved on.
But as they say, its just the way it is.

Tom, I will miss you and your advise on the Case line of tractors and equipment. It is a joy to read and learn from people in the know , even at my old age. I still will be calling to see how you are doing, and tell you how the 400 western and the a series plow get along. Thank you Jerry from Ohio

The overwhelming majority of us truly appreciate your comments and help. Rather than let a few boneheads block the sunshine, maybe you could ignore them and focus on the rest of us? The rest of us would be very grateful.....

CNT,
Nothing new to say that hasn?t already been said by others. Just want to offer my appreciation and respect. There are probably a fair number of us that are not involved much with farming and tractors anymore, but we still enjoy your posts and pictures as they bring back fond memories from life on the farm as a youth. My Case connection is that I have acquired the SC that my grandfather bought new in 1949. You have done as much as anyone on this forum to provide professional courteous advice. Your pictures have been enjoyed by many and will be sorely missed. I don?t post much here but I do post to help people on a few techy forums (where I have something to offer) and I find some unappreciative disrespectful people on those too. I will stop short of asking you to change your mind (which 99% of the people on this forum would welcome) because that is your business. Some of us don?t do FB so your leaving will be our loss. Best wishes.

That is entirely sad, but I get it. I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts over the years and highly appreciate seeing your collection of Case and seeing much of it in use, in addition to the long heritage you had and still have with the original manufacturer. I figured this place will have or had it's "run", when knowledge and experience decides it's time to move on for whatever the reason. The whole premise of this was for people to participate, be it those with a wealth of information and experience or those just starting out and everyone in between. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to post like you have consistently over these years, it's one of the reasons I read this forum, that and all the others, always had highly respected the comradery and all the discussion of Case, you guys have or had something special here with that !

Tom I hate to hear of your decision, but it's yours to make and I respect it. Your reasons are why I don't post a lot too. I'll still call once in a while and try to find your Facebook page. Good luck. Tony

Tom, I Hope you reconsider , I love your input and images, very knowledgeable, I'm only 33 but I respect you older more wise experienced gentlemen so much, I realize the the number of entitled all knowing @ssholes has incresed with my generation, but we are all not that way, I need guys like you, you've lived it saw it fixed it, and I need to hear the story's and info, see the pics, I'm a technician at a ford dealer so I end up working on everything, when it comes to cases you guys are it, sorry if I haven't showed enough appreciation but I need you and for those sobs that cannot say anything nice, I myself and am sure others dont need you, hope this strikes a cord, thanks for everything Dusty

help me out guys, several opiniated @ssholes shouldn't be allowed to overcome such a weath of knowledge thanks Dusty, sorry for language but this bothers me,

Actually, I thought things went south here decades ago. LOLOL.
Please reconsider, its the nature of the beast I think, I keep coming back for posts such as
yours and just ignore the self-medicated. It gets better, then bad again, then better again.

. Haven't been on this site long but did some look up on my tractor problems and your name seems to come up more often than not. Your knowledge seems endless. Have a 730 and a 930 that are waiting for repair and your posts will no doubt make it much easier.
