DC mag/distributor conversion

Yep, an up-right (right-angle) Delco will bolt right up. I-H sold them as a replacement for mags back in the day & Allis Chalmers used them as well. (Delco made the ones that I-H branded as their own.) We liked to use the Delco up-right when the Case mags couldn't be repaired anymore because the fit better on an SC if it has an oil filter, but a genuine I-H will work, too. If your electrical system has been up date to 12 volt, just get a 12 v coil w/o resister. The points don't care if they get a 6V or 12v jolt. jal-SD

There is a guy named Ken who is advertising in the photo ads on this site. He is out of MI. 231 250 0892. I bought a magneto for my DC case from him worked as new. Price was reasonable. Give him a try I doubt you will be disappointed.

Yessir. I work on the side for a great mentor of mine. Google rebuiltmags (.) com and it will come up. Rudy is a great guy, and rebuilds them
for people all over the world!

Photos are of just some magnetos and carburetors I have done while working with him.

Just remember an IH 4-cylinder flange-mount mag won't sub for a CASE flange-mount mag unless the drive gear is re-timed to the camshaft.

The angle of the drive slot when the impulse "trips" is significantly different, IIRC, the CASE trips when the drive slot is horizontal, the IH H4 trips at a slot position of about 45 "earlier.
