It's been awhile since I've posted, but I ran across a 1964 non Comfort King 730 gas dual range. I've been looking for a cheap chore tractor to use in the winter and for the Tedder and V Rake. It looks to be in really good shape. All original with clam shell fenders. I can't find much about this early 730 in the archives and am wondering if they are a good tractor? I've owned an 830 gas CK and really was a great tractor. It has 2 shift levers. I'm assuming one of them is the H-N-L range lever? Thanks for taking the time to respond.

The EH 730/830 are just as good as units as the later dom or "CK" models, same basic units other than hyd pumps and control valves, pto and the change from EH to dom and different higher seating position the CK's offered, powertrain is the same almost 100%

CASE NUTTY- Would this not be a good PTO tractor? Is it not Live PTO? I do run the Tedder quite a bit in the summer.

It has live PTO

As Tom said, a great tractor. I rescued a 730 diesel to save it, and planned to resell. After getting it running, its a great tractor to have around

pto on both versions is Live/Independent and will work fine, they changed the pto housing and hyd system on the dom ones is all,,should do the job you are wanting with ease

Ok. Thanks guys. Sounds like a winner, we will just have to come to terms on price. I will post pics if it goes my way. Thanks again.
