Robert Bosche injection pump

I want to put a A34436 injection pump on an engine that the pump drive turn opposite of what it does on the old 930.Im pretty sure it will run I just was wondering if anybody else has ever done that.

These are the only other numbers on the tag. EP/RSV300...1000A2B240DR. I thought it was off of a 930 but it is off of a 1030. I just like these pumps and am hoping it will work on my project other wise I will have to find something else. Thanks for your help.

Early Case Bosch inline pumps have the tag on the back side next to the engine, just above the pump spring/tappet side cover. You have the rear governor tag numbers. The PES numbers I need are on the pump tag.

DT, re reading his post I think he was wondering if it would run opposite rotation or not.

That depends on the cam grind profile. Cams ground like engine cams, and some down/up cams will work backwards, firing order would be 1-4-2-6-3-5. There are some cams that bring the tappet down gradually that WON'T work in the opposite direction.

I bought some 5.9 cummins in various stages of disrepair and am assembling one to do a project tractor just to do it no real definite goal mostly to see if it can be done. I have some of the Case pumps around and would like to use them for something rather than let them go to waste. The engine will probly end up in a 30 or 70 series Case tractor.

The Cummins 5.9 had several pumps available, Bosch VE and CAV DPA rotary pumps, Bosch inline A, P, and P7100 depending on power output needed. You would be better off staying with these pumps than trying to fit the older Bosch/Case pump.

Ya I know . I just like to do what other cant or wont do. I have my own machining capabilities so doing thing outside the box is fun. And im frugal.

Nothing wrong with liking to tinker or being frugal, I like to put together different diesel "toys" too. Most Cummins have a 20MM pump shaft drive taper, the early Case inline pumps use the smaller 17MM taper. Also the early Bosch A size pumps USUALLY pull the housing threads when the delivery valve holders are removed, that problem stopped with the D series came out with an O ring seal at the top.

Ya I found a drive assembly from a 8011 zetor that fits on the pump so I will have to build an adapter to marry the pump to the front cover and then bore the cummins drive gear to accept the zetor drive shaft the major problem will be timing and injector lines.
