Goings on in the kingdom

Got some stuff done around the place this weekend. Haven't been too enthusiastic about working lately, gets that way this time of year. Had to grind feed again, used the dc because it was so cold. Only got up to -2 on Saturday and I didn't even try to start the 400.

The dc handled it like a dream, did make it work tho. That was especially the case when grinding the ear corn for the cows. The video below is grinding for the pigs I just got with the small screen. Speaking of which, I picked up 12 feeder pigs to add to my live stock today. Got them from a local farmer. They range in size from 30 pounds or so to around 50 pounds.

Hope I can get them sold when they are ready. That's about all I had the ambition to do this weekend. Can't wait for longer days and more sun so I get ambitious again.
Grinding feed

Nice pictures. I ground a lot of pig feed on cold days with a DC. Sure felt good to get back in the house when I was done.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding buyers for your pigs if you feed them right. I always used feed rations that were designed by the feed companies. For me it was ADM's rations. I probably changed the mix at least six times from weaning to market.

You got more done then I did, guess I wasn't up too being out in the cold, and the Mrs. was happy as I went through a lot of books and such on the floor around my chair.
Nice photo's Jon. Good old "DC" gets a lot done. I have been thinking of expanding my "DC"s by one more that I have. I use my other one all the time. Here it poses before going to bed late last fall. It had and myself included had enough of 2019.

Amazing to see a 70 year old DC put to good use grinding feed. Also, Nice to see a barn and farm come back to life again. You don't see that very often these days. Don

There was a DC4 running on the dyno at Rollag last fall, it was the sweetest sounding tractor there, working hard! Larry

AWESOME pictures, thanks for them !! May I assume that the grinder/mixer was made by a different entity? I never ran a DC, but have some seat time on an RC pulling hay
racks and smallish gravity wagons filled with ear corn.
