Received the turbo for the 770, sure looks small compared to
a unit off a 504. Looks like I have to do a bit of fabbing to get
everything properly hooked up. This will be interesting, thanks
for advise, Rod.

It looks a bit different than the one I got, yours looks like it has a water coolant passage mine does not have. While it looks small, I'll bet it works fine since it has a waste gate. The turbo I got from Keystone for my IH 560 diesel is small too, but it works fine. MUCH better than the AC 301 I took off. While it worked OK at 2000 RPM and above, I wanted the boost to start lower in the speed range. I'll try to get some pics of the one I got tomorrow.

Most of the work I do with the 770 is 16-1900 rpm so boost coming in at lower rpm?s will be a benefit. Rod.

Rod , I hope you post pictures as you go forward on this project. I am thinking I will do my 770 after I get all the farm machinery ready for 2020 season. Jerry from Ohio

I saw Dieseltech's post earlier about the Turbo of the AC being too big, BUT when we turboed the 770s we used the OEM turbo off the 336 small journal power units which was the same as what was used to power the CASE/BELOIT skidders.. As I told you on the phone, those 267's really came alive with that setup on them and lots of low end torque. Only fabrication needed was the air intake system with extra capacity air cleaner.---------Loren

Loren this is all new to me, so I don't what to expect. The turbo's for the 870's that I found were so expensive I just had to give this a try. My thoughts are if this is unsatisfactory for the 770 I could play with the 188 in the 570. Your job on the 430 is really nice and I would not mind trying that. Rod.
