Spark plug wires for Case 941

HowDoI

New User
Does anyone have a spark plug wire schematic for a Case 941 tractor or know where I can get one? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pull one spark plug. Hold your finger over the plug hole while slowly turning the engine until you get compression. Stick something small into that cylinder and get that piston to TDC on the compression stroke. Pull the dist. cap and hook that spark plug wire to the terminal that the rotor is aimed at. Follow the firing order around the dist. cap hooking the proper wire to the proper cylinder. Firing order should be casted into the block on the dist. side. When it was new 50+ years ago the dist. most likely was set in a certain place when #1 was at TDC, but almost all of them have been pulled at some point and very few are in the original position.

Most distributors can be dropped in in so many different position that even if the cap has a #1 marking ti means very little since who know what has been done to them. One needs to remove the distributor cap and watch which way the rotor turns as you turn the engine over to get #1 cylinder to TDC. Depending on how you figure out TDC will also have you with a 50/50 chance of having it there on compression but even if you have it 180 out that is not hard to fix.
