Case D530 shut off cable connection question

Hi all,

I am in the process of replacing a broken shut off cable on this tractor and need some guidance on how it attaches on the engine side. The cable inserts into some type of clamp but I can't figure out whether it is spring-loaded, requires three hands to manipulate or what. I am hoping for some guidance on how to release the cable and insert the new one before I end up breaking two things to fix one. Which seems to be the normal outcome with this tractor....

Hold the piece the cable goes through
and loosen the small bolt 2 turns.
Cable should slide out.
