Old Case backhoe

Hello, I?m beginning the hunt for an old backhoe. I was hoping someone might be able to help me identify the backhoe in the link. Also anything in particular to be wary of? I know it?s old, will be slow, need love etc. It?s a gas engine which suits me better than a diesel. Also curious if anyone can tell what kind of transmission it might have? Any input would be appreciated, thanks. Sam

Looks like W-3 also I can see it has the Torque Convertor Drive,, ( 8 speed transmission with convertor lock up) that machine was top of the line of any brand in the day,, a precursor to a 580CK,, it will impress you what it can do,, it was the Industrial version of a 530CK but was only sold through Case CE dealers where the 530CK could be sold in any dealership with a utility contract,

Appreciate the info. Any important parts that are made of unobtanium or weak areas to check? Also (besides the manual which I?d purchase if I bought the machine) and where I can go for operation info to find out if the transmission is working properly? Thanks, Sam

Main difference was the self leveling loader on the W3 right Case Nutty? We sold the 530's and the CE dealer across the river sold W3's.

Yes that and the hoe would dig a bit deeper, different model hoe on them if I remember right, the second generation 530CK replaced the W-3 in 1964,, and was sold by all dealers,
