Hello, I have a problem with the rh brake grabbing & not releasing. I took it apart & the seal is not leaking. The springs are intact & the balls are not flattened. There seems to be enough lining on the discs but could low lining make the balls roll up too far & not release? Thanks. Jim S

balls and ramps are black/rusty I am betting, polish up the ramps, make 100%sure the return springs on the inside are not stretched at all if so replace and replace the balls with shiny new ones,, also make sure you have the correct amount of pedal free travel and the pedal return springs are in good order

Thanks for the info. Should there be any lubricant like graphite put on the ramps? On a side note, we have an old Vac which has horrible brakes & possibly might have a similar problem. The vac does not have the brake band around the drum like the 430 does though. Thanks. Jim S

No lube on the balls I do like to rub some oil on the ramps with a cloth just to seal/prep the metal,, not enough to collect dust,, the VA series brakes,, I have seen get glazed and not work right but yes the same applies to them as they need all the parts I spoke of in good order to make them function correctly,
