DC live pto adjustment

Brush hogged heavy stuff , pto clutches made terrible sound at times in heavy pull, adjusted slip clutch on brush hog to take abuse, but I need to adjust my pto clutches , read the service manual,, kinda vague , with the cover off not sure what I'm looking at, plz any advise thanks in advance Dusty

Hopefully you have not done major damage to them here are the steps which should help guide you through adjustment

PS I never had the adjusting tool. I always made do with a pair of long nose vise grips or maybe long nose pliers--being careful not to drop then into the case.

Here is a pic of the CASE PTO adjusting tool. You can easily make one from an old
screwdriver about 12" long. --------------Loren

Gentlemen thanks as always, I got the DC live pto adjusted on this rainy day, understood completley once I read some of the posts, I have a jensalles service manual and operators manual but didn't get the description as I did here, I nice weather is better I'll try her out. Thanks again Dusty
