My first iron pour , thought it would be fun to try Abe and a medallion. They are not perfect but I am happy with the results. A lot of fun, I will try again next year. Rod.

I would love to see your foundry setup.
Our local foundry about 6 miles away shut down a couple of years ago and I sure miss it.

I understand that old Abe started as a WW I symbol. That would make it likely pre1920.

Maybe someone has better info. JI Case may have been required to do some modifications for legal reasons.

I have a original that we used to make the mold, the new one and the first one are solid cast iron 30 plus pounds approx. Rod.

I happen to have a few extra 16" Eagles laying around, and several 8" Eagles of both the TM design, and the later "CASE" design. Some are painted, and some the original "rust". FYI the TM Eagles were from before 1928. Email is open for inquiries. DK

Don I will be making only one a year which my family will fight over. But I know Dkase has made some nice ones and stands for them that he has had available. Check with Darrel he might have extra.
