Update and ? on Case 660

I took a little time and hauled a battery over to the little 660 combine. Poured fresh gas in and with a little choke it fired right up. Actually runs very good, and the cylinder runs smooth and quiet. Power steering turns with one finger. Header raised right up. It should cut wheat with just a little tinkering.

I was noticing the hydraulic swing auger cylinder. It looks like this cylinder is the same one as the power steering cylinder on a 700 or 800, early 730 or 830 Standard Tractor. Would this be correct would anyone know?

I will try to get it home in the next few days and wash the dust off of it, and take a few good pictures. Thanks - Bob

Bob good news on how she runs, did the variable speed sheaves go back to slow when you pulled on the LH lever on the steering column? hopefully it did,, as for the hyd swing auger cylinder, not it is not the same as the steering ones,, also when you swing that auger out you have to make Sure the drive tabs on each auger part are not in line and m stop it from swinging as it will break the outer auger carrier if it does, I like to have one up and pone down to be sure,, Case combines have great power steering and hydraulics
