Did they best 32 pounds to the bushel?
Nice ol dodge truck, the freightliner you got was best freightliner ever built, next model looked like crap and worse as newer designs came out

Notice how clean the grain is!! The greatest Combine ever built. The LH 318 engine was smooth economical power. Reminds me of when the Deere 7700's 1st started appearing, big HP. Sure, they'd hog in the grain, guys could travel faster, but WTF?? Couldn't separate any more than the 1660 or 1665 CASE and a lot of grain went out the back of those Deere's & ended up on the ground. Same w/ the Gleaner's. We called them "Silver Seeders".

Did a lot of custom small grain work 30 years ago with a 1665 and 1660. Always a clean sample and no matter how hard you pushed them, none on the ground. Had a friend with a 915 diesel that left a green trail no matter how you set it. Have run a Case self-propelled combine every year since 1975 starting with a 1160.

Yes, the greatest combine built, I couldn't agree more. Great pictures Steve, I just cant get enough of J.I.Case combines

Didja get all the oats in the bin? We got another .65 this afternoon.
I see it went through your area as well.
Nice to see you keeping the 1660 limbered up.
