I was trolling through the Archive this morning, and found something odd about this ad. The correct answer gets you the choice of one ice cold Barley Pop. Cheers CM.

I've had to guess where to drive when a marker fudged up, but never drove a tractor or anything without some kind of exhaust.

Chuck,

The battery is in the "530 position" in front of the shifter and out in the open as opposed to the 430 being under the hood. Don

Chuck I just noticed that this picture like a lot of their sales pictures is shot at waist level or even maybe a little lower. I will have to give that a shot in the future when I'm taking pictures of Cases's in action.

Looks like ol'e Chuck is in over his head on this one, and will be shelling out for more than 1 "Barley Pop"!!

No exhaust and no hand clutch.
Also, no smile on his face like most Case owners.

Upon close inspection, it's not a battery in the 530 position but more photo shopped trees from the background. We really should be seeing the other (right) fender in that area.

I just realized why the right fender is missing. When looking at the hood, it's clearly a 530 tractor as the hood is not one piece over the fuel tank like a 430 should be. They changed the decal to read 430 and photo shopped out the battery and 530 fenders and added back in a clam shell fender of a 430, giving it all the weird visuals under the seat area.

This also explains why there's no muffler as most 530s had the muffler on top of the hood. They photo shopped it out to make it look more like a 430 but didn't bother to add the low position exhaust pipe routing or muffler under the floor board.

I have a 1960 530 dsl that I parted out it has the under slung exhaust no hole in the hood,, I have allt he parts in great shape too,, low houred unit, we leased a new 570 gas to the experimental farm in 1970 they speced it with a under slung ex only two I ever seen

I called my financial advisor this afternoon, and asked him to send me some funds to pay for this post challenge! Whew, yall busted me on this one.CM

I cannot see how you can tell the right fender is missing. The happy driver, battery, dash and everything else is in the way. The battery is clearly in place, as well as the hold down bolts.

Jon mentioned as I noticed what the heck is that orange cross bar in back of the operator? Rod.

The intake and ex manifold is different than any production engine I've ever seen and it appears to be a flatland special as I do not see any brake housings unless it is some experimental with internal ones.

Well , I clearly did not think this(hic) one out. I was going for no exhaust, and then the whole post went viral.CM
