Had to bring the BER14 home from the plant yesterday as all storage rights and privileges ceased with my retirement today.
I have been on Admin leave since March , so transitioning into this new lifestyle. I thought it only appropriate to begin the restoration of the BER14 that I picked up from the Fitz boys in Iowa last year. Sorry for being absent from the forum for so long, as this process of retirement brings on many unseen challenges .

Congratulations Chuck! On both official retirement and getting a nice piece of Case equipment. Today is my first day on Medicare. I feel like I've won the race LOL Don

Congrats on retirement!!!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Going to retire at 62 2 years and 11 months. And that is right now. That will give 42 years in at this workplace.

Bruce I retired from 30 years of over the road truck driving to enjoy more farm life.
I now work longer hours for less money.
In a couple of years I'll be 66 and the poultry operation will be payed for so that I can look at retiring again, but not sure if I want to.
If I retire a second time I don't thing I can stand working more hours than I am now.

Chuck congrats, I have plow just like yours. Do know if John has a operating set-up manual? I would like to get it going on the 630 for plow days....show them that CASE can turn dirt too. God bless, Gregg

Congrats Chuck. I retired at the end of January and I am loving it. It is great to be on your own scheduled. I just returned from a 2 weak trip up the east coast all the way to New Brunswick Ca. and back. Spent several days in New York going through the Adirondack Mountains and all the way over to Niagara Falls. It was nice to stop and go when when I wanted and not have to worry about being home any certain time.

Congratulations young man, I wish you the best and now you can spend more time on those special projects. Let us see the plow when finished and better yet see if you can turn some dirt for us. Coming to the midwest for any shows? Madison SD and Rollag MN will be great! Rod.

May you have a smile on your face every day...may your health be great for many decades to come...may you be tired each evening from the total Joy of retirement by your own definition of retirement Sir:

I retired 7.5 years ago......I should have retired 10 years ago.....

Bob....

Congrats Chuck. Now you will wonder how you ever had time to go to work. Remember, if you're back up this way, it's my turn to buy coffee. Keith

Thanks all for your encouraging words. This is a path uncharted by Linda and I, with many surprises. Thank to all.CM

Chuck, Enjoy and do what you feel like doing. I went back to work for the township to help them out ,at 73 ,I must have had a loose screw, November is my last.

Chuck, I'm very happy for you. Now your life will really get busy, remember to take a day off once in a while.
