david brown 885

Does your 885 have a lift arm lock? I have an Oliver 500 which is really a DB850 but painted green. It has some kind of lift arm lock device that will hold the arms up even when you push the lever down to lower them. It is a large fluted knob near the left end of the rockshaft. I've never used mine so not really sure how it works, just read about it in the operator's manual.

(quoted from post at 11:29:07 08/02/19) While using the bush hog with my 885 ,I raised it up and now it wont go down, what can I do to to fix this problem?

George,

don't know if this was ever remedied, but below is a pic of my lift lock lever. Vertical either way is unlocked, horizontal is locked. To engage/disengage the quadrant must be pushed back to "SELECT"

Hope this helps!
