Just replaced the fuel transfer pump shaft seal and now trying to bleed the fuel system. I successfully managed to get fuel past the first and second filter but cannot get it to reach the third. Fuel is coming up the pipe feeding the third filter but I'm guessing only part way (I'm thinking to the same height as I've fuel in the main diesel tank). I've tried spinning the engine (to work the transfer pump)but its not doing enough to fill last filter. Do I need to bring the head of diesel in the main diesel tank above the height of last filter to get it to bleed? I'm thinking either by filling the tank or lifting the rear of the tractor? Any thoughts or suggestions welcome. I seem to remember people having issues bleeding this type of system in the past.
