The 3 point hitch doesn't work, just acquired this tractor, been parked years, cleaned filter, checked fluid levels. Removed hose from cylinder no fluid present. Where do I go next ? Thanks

Next you post year and exact model, or pics if you don't have that. Exactly what happens when you pull the lever? How about the remote(s)? ANY info can help.

There were two versions of the 400. The early one was what most of us refer to as the big 400 it has a rounded radiator grill and the headlights mounted near the dash. It was built from 1955 to 1957. The later version has a flatter front and the headlights in the nose.

I replied in tractor talk too,
but for a complete failure
there is really only a couple
options, the coupler running
it could have failed or a
valve problem. Start by taking
the rectangular cover off the
back of the pump to see if the
valves move. If they Doo then
the pump needs to come off.
Pull the hoses and the 4 nuts
holding it on and it comes
off. At that point you can see
the coupler and the seal for
the pickup tube. If either of
those is bad that would likely
be your problem. At that point
check if the shaft coming back
is good, it it turns free you
have an issue with the clutch.
Does the PTO work? If that
don't work either the problem
could be up at the clutch.
