DC case mag

Yes you can change a DC over to distributor. I did mine plus changed it over to a Pertronix electronic ignition. Fires up with just a tap of the starter button. You will just have to look at the adds for a distributor. I found mine on here

(quoted from post at 21:49:05 07/14/19) What tractor did use a distributor from

That unit with the upright distributor was a mag replacement made by Delco Remy, The number I believe is 111411 distributor. they are getting a little harder to find.

You have three options.
Delco Remely conversion distributor

delco distributor off an Allis Chalmers WD. very similar in appearance to the conversion distributor mentioned above.

IHC distributor off a GASOLINE FARMALL tractor model H through 450.

The Allis Chalmers distributor must be off a WD or converted WC. A WD45 distributor is different and will not work on a DC Case.

The IH distributor is a nice option also, just be sure the bushings in the distributor shaft are tight. Either unit can be updated to the Pertronix module. The pertronix module does compensate for bushing wear as variation caused by shaft movement does not matter as there are no points whose gap can be affected by shaft wear. If you are considering a pertronix I would opt for the Ignitor 2 as it is more forgiving of coil primary ohms as it will adapt to both high ohms or low ohms secondary.
