1070 Factory Shop Manual question

Trying to find a clue in the factory shop on removing the cab. Absolutely nothing, there is a section in the powershift area, that in the index says "removing the powershift", and foolishly thinking that may include the cab, but those few pages doesn't exist. I have 2 factory shops, different versions, one early and one very late. They both give that section in the index, but no corresponding pages. I'm not using this tractor at the moment, and would like to pull the cab to properly reseal, handle the interior and properly prep and paint it, along with the remainder of the tractor. A very low houred unit, at 2800 hours that functions flawlessly, but spent all its life, since 1976, outside here in central MN. Thanks for your thoughts. I feel it must be in there someplace. Compared to other Case shop manuals, this one is a real hodge podge.... Larry

I took the cab off my 970 a few months ago it fits around the platform so the whole shifter cluster stays on there when you pull it off, there?s a bunch of 9/16 head bolts down the sides, across the back, and a couple on the front on both sides. You?ll also have to unhook the heater hoses and any wiring that runs up to cab. Possibly pull the step too but maybe not. I think that?s it. I took a heavy duty ratchet strap and open the door and side window and put it through then just came up with the loader and lifted it off pretty easily.

Thanks! I haven't really looked at the removal, just thru the shop manual last night was somewhat puzzled why they can spend pages on how to change a valve cover gasket and can't give some direction on cab removal..............
