885 hydraulics

I'm looking at buying a DB 885. Seller told me on the phone that the loader is powered by the tractors hydraulics. But he says it does NOT affect the 3 point or remotes. They all work independently.

Is that possible with these David Browns? I'm used to the Ford/Massey designs where that would not be possible.

Would the loader be painfully slow using the tractors hydraulics? It's a Great Bend loader, not OEM.

Thanks.

my 380ck which is a variant of the 885 has a front mount pump driven off the crank that operates the loader. so the loader has its own
hydraulic system independent of the rear 3pt and remotes.

That is how the systems usually work on the tractors I'm familiar with. But the dealer who has this tractor says the loader here is run by the internal tractor hydraulics.

It didn't sound right for it to work independently of the 3 point, if that is the case....

Thanks for the info. Do you know how slow the hydraulics would be??

$6,900 seems high for the tractor but I think the loader has some value. Thoughts?
