Case 730 CK Hydraulic Issue

I was using a chisel plow today for awhile and after the tractor
warmed up a bit the hydraulics quit working. The tractor also
popped out of gear in direct drive and COM. I checks the fluid
and it was a little below the fill line. I added TCH fluid and still
have the same issue. Anyone have any idea? Thanks,Chris

Went out this morning tried the three point and pro both worked. Worked both hydraulic levers a few times and everything worked as normal so idk what the problem was.

The COM and main tranny do not share a common reservoir, check the COM at the dipstick on the bell housing to make sure it is full with the engine running, in fact I would run the engine with the tractor in high gear idling as that will allow you to check the oil in operating mode without gear splash. We here in North Central Pa. have steep ground and we always ran COM tractors a couple gallons over full as they would cavitate on a steep side hill from suction being uncovered. I would make sure all levels are full and see if it happens again, As before stated, the COM and hydraulics are not connected by an oil related issue and the PTO on a 730 runs off a splined coupler in the flywheel and is a mechanical over center clutch with no hydraulic application, a broken shaft however would disable both pto and hydraulics but would not heal itself overnite.

Thanks mEl. I did check that also and it is a little over full but I
am in Northeast,Pa and it is pretty hilly here too. I used it
yesterday and finished chisel plowing with no issues at all.

Where r u in Pa? I am near Williamsport Retired fro C H Waltz Sons Inc about 5 years now, we also have a store in Dallas Pa.

Talking to John Saeli about your tractor and I realize that I gave you some bad info, not that it changes anything but the PTO drive shaft on a COM tractor drive off the face of the COM unit, not off a flywheel coupler as I stated earlier but that is coupled to the flywheel with a big internal coupling metal to metal like a huge spline with no chance of slippage.
