870 Power Shift

Having finished the engine overhaul I moved on to the power shift. Slow hydraulics told me there was a possible leak in the power shift. Everything looked great except a torn seal on the C3 piston. I will install the new style pistons and seals and this should be good for another 40 years, Rod.

Good move on the pistons, even retired I still do some carry in RPS34s. I will not rebuild any without doing the piston update, they are so much superior with almost a perfect seal.

Mel after you install the new style pistons do you drill out the orifice of the C-2 shuttle in the control valve? Rod.
