I'm looking to retrofit a different voltage regulator on my Case 646, it's overcharging like heck.
I have a regulator from a Kohler that'll do the job, but the original Wico part had a 4th wire (Blue) that powers the ignition coil.
Does the coil just get fed 12V from the battery? Inline resistor perhaps? I did find a replacement regulator... for $640 USD.. *GASP*.. and that's a deal, list price is $850
I had quite a surprise when I went to pull the flywheel... last moron that worked on it didn't put the flywheel hold-down bolt in!! :roll: Sure glad I caught that before it came off
