Good night gentlemen
I have a 53 case dc-3 tractor ( foot clutch ) I am looking over the electrical system still factory 6 volt magneto inigtion. I hear some debate but I think Racine tractors were negative ground ?. But auto light ghd6001c generator uses a two charge regulator to maintain the battery voltage. There is a twenty amp fuse in the light switch and a 5amp fused in the voltage regulator and all the after market cut out relays say 15 amp 6 volt I don't know if I have to watch for polairity and is 15 amps enough to keep the battery charged as currently after running awhile the light start to pulse and now charge.the battery test good but thinking about rebuilding generator but no one seams to be able to find voltage regulator/ cut out but after market the closest I have been able to find are for a cj2 jeep
Any thoughts and help would be greatly apreciated as wiring generator novice thank for any help Bob
