Not really a Case item but figured you Case guys would appreciate over-built stuff. These nails came out of one 6' x 6" piece of door trim in my daughters 1984 house. Nineteen nails. Not sure why they didn't go for an even 20.

That is the exact opposite of an old farmer who did csrpenter work on the side in this neighborhood. He was known locally as "one nail Louie" and my Dad would point to some of the buildings he put up. They were always leaning to one side from lack of nailing and bracing. But, he came cheap! LOL Don

I do remodeling work for a living. I've often wondered if they used to pay carpenters by the nail to build something.

I inherited my Uncle's workbench, lived as a boy thru depression era, WWII vet, he had a drawer full of straightened nails all in boxes based on type.

When I was a young boy my dad would have me straighten them so he could reuse them!

did that too. If dad couldn't think of anything else for us to do we would straighten nails. Idleness is the devil's workshop.

My dad had cans with old used nails in them as well. He would straighten them as he reused them. Wonder if it's typical of people that grew up during the great depression and didn't have much?

The beauty of nail guns. Likely driven in staggered pattern. 9 in one row and 10 in other side.
Oh well, it sounds like a plan anyways.
