Guys,, thought I would post this stat from my Case fb page from this morning,, this shows posts,comments and reactions in just the last 28 days as well as new members in the same time frame,, this is why I do not have much time for posting here among a few other reasons, I read every post, and answer many of them lucky for me I have a great bunch of Case guys on board who help me a lot with answering posts and posting as well, I know fb is not for everyone and thanks all well and good, its what the person makes it and for me this is my legacy to the Great J.I Case Company and not what it has now become today, those days are long gone now but I and those ere who actually Was a dealer then have the past to fondly remember what it really was then. my posts the last years here and on fb will forever be on-line to keep Jerome's dream and mine alive forever,

You deserve a congratulations and a pat on the back for sure. The numbers reflect your character and the quality and of the content on your page.

I bit the bullet and joined FB a short time back because of your FB page as my son and wife would show me things posted and I thought maybe I was missing out and I sure was.

I think the traffic on YT has slowed down considerable the last few years as the younger generation joining the tractor hobby either don't find YT or will find it clumsy to use.

As you say, you get out of it what you put into it. It's just another tool in the information tool box for me. I've had tons of friend requests but haven't friended anyone other than my kids.

If someone posts something on your J.I.Case Farm Machinery page, I see it. If they post on Don L.s Case Grey Era page I see it. Northand Case, Classic Tractor Fever, etc. I see it. But I don't see anything people post on their own pages about what they ate today or Grandma finally had a bowel movement.

Set the filters the way you want and it's all good.
For those of you sitting on the fence, I'd say to take the plunge. Have someone who understands and frequents FB to help you set it up and show you how to set some favorite pages to visit that automatically pop up when people post.

There is a learning curve to understand and navigate at first but no different than anything else in life. Just do it.
I'll also suggest that you don't have to put any more info out there than your comfortable with. I don't even use my real name or birth date when I set up my profile. I don't want old classmates or long lost relatives looking for me. And I can always change those settings later if I so choose.

Tom's page is one of the best there is. He polices it very well so it's all Case stuff 100%. You won't see any JD or IH stuff cluttering up the info stream.

So Tom, once again, congratulations and a big Thank You for your efforts. It's much appreciated by me and I'm sure many others who never say so.

I'm not much of a Facebook guy, but since I've joined Tom's page as well as Don's Grey Era page, that is where I spend all my time on Facebook. The rest of Facebook is easy to ignore. So much more picture and video friendly, and you get to see a real snapshot of Case around the whole country. I've gotten to take Tom's page for granted, but I have to remember to be thankful for the work he does to make it what it is. There really isn't anything quite like it.

SO SAD, the "good" experiences some of you have on FB vs. their RELENTLESS "data mining".

HOW do you accept that?

Tom, you have built quite a site at FB, many have commented on how well it is controlled to keep those that just want to create issues. Yes it does sadden me that YT is becoming that. The Case forum was always noted to be friendly and helpful, but yes, things have changed. And maybe I have too. I read and reread your post, and agree with you. Honestly I'm tired of the political trolls. YT is not the place to talk about that. Tom I haven't been a fan of FB for my own personal reasons, but I might peek in so leave the light on!

Tom, how about a link? I won't have a Facebook account but perhaps could view without one?

Kevin its a closed group so you have to be a member to view the page and be on fb to be able to send a request sorry, a couple shots from this morning of the page, my daily good morning post and a shot of what is on the cover page at the moment, that is a load of 970's being shipped down under, I have members from all over the World, I am NOT trying to gain membership to the page with this post as that was Not my intent at all, I had been chatting with Bro and others and its hard to believe what I was saying about the page as far as post and comments ect, that is why I posted the pages stats, by the way YT has a fb page also,

Bob, do you have a smart phone or use a computer? You are being tracked and logged at every step with those, YES fb does use your info,, I do not put anything on there that i do not mind being "known" I get its not for everyone and you seem to fit that bill, so DO NOT JOIN its really that simple, I highly doubt you would have anything to add to my page anyway, so sit here and stew about how horrible fb is as you seem to know all about it but have never joined so how would you even have a clue, but thanks for commenting anyway and again reassuring me of why I have dropped from helping and posting hundreds of posts a month here to a handful a year was the right choice, its really sad though for those here who did enjoy and appreciate things done for them here though,

The problem for me is that while you run a great site, and I am a member, Facebook has gotten so bad about data mining and spamming I have just stopped using it.

Bradley, Thank You for the kind words, I also enjoy how your words flow a poet for sure,, I can see that many here take offense to my fb page one way or another and thats all fine and good, thanks to many of that type this site does not get much effort from me any more, a sad deal really, but then when admins here allow bashing and attacks like they do they too are at fault in my mind, as you know I have a whole different idea of how a site should be ran, for Me my way works great, I have plenty tough skin and big shoulders so bashing me bothers me not at all, that in its self bothers others that do it more than I, but in my mind it lowers the quality of the site/page, I do find it funny that the data collecting and selling done by this site is so accepted though but fb is bashed hard for the same things, if some do not think its true goggle your handle/name here and see what comes up, if you post here it will show up here I goggled your handle here and this came right up, I am not happy with either doing it but its a fact today anything you do online is there for all to see, thanks again
