I'm not sure who to thank, but I found these pictures someplace, and the one that interested me is Case's company plane

Dan,

I wonder if that plane was powered by Case magnetos? I know they provided mags for some airplane engines from the Rockford, Illinois magneto factory. It looks like there's a big Eagle Hitch decal on the side of the plane, dating it in the late 40's, early 50's possibly. Great collection of pictures. Don

Dan, all Great history pics,, but like you I Love the Company plane, I was told the fighter planes and bombers all used the Case built mags,, I would think that one also has them, not sure what brand/model plane it is but I always liked that one, thanks for sharing them
cnt

That's a Beech model 18. The prototype flew in 1937, 9000 were made before production ended in 1970. A great airplane, a lot of them still flying all over the world.

Me too Tom, yes, and I feel that Case really had a quality mag. Probably they made so many they could afford too tweek them. Oldgent is right on also.

Thanks Don, yes I agree. Now I wonder how many more Case company aircraft there were.

Loren, why don't you send "your company aircraft" to pick me up and bring me out there for a tour and maybe supper with you and your wifee! Recognize the pic?? HeHe
